Ahhhhh....Can't Help It!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I HAVE to post this! I promise I won't post politics too often. In fact, I have plans to start a new political site.

Here is an example of the TYRANNY OF THE UNINFORMED/MISINFORMED :

Now, combine this video with the results from John Zogby's post election poll (found this on HotAir.com):

The poll surveyed over 500 self-professed Obama voters and has an MOE of 4.4%, with 55% having a college degree and over 90% having a high-school diploma.  It asked 12 multiple-choice questions; only 2.4% got at least 11 correct. Only .5% got all them correct.

  • 57.4 could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
  • 81.8 could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
  • 82.6 could NOT correctly say that Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
  • 88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
  • 56.1 % could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing). And yet…..
  • Only 13.7% failed to identify Palin as the person their party spent $150,000 in clothes
  • Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter
  • And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

it's really sad how uneducated some people are, relying solely on the liberal media for 'truth.'

did you hear that clip from the howard stern show about how most of them had no clue what his policies were..they agreed to mccain's policies...and they even thought palin was the VP..the media is so twisted thats why they know the things they know..the media is in heaven with this..we could all go bankrupt but they would portray him in some good light and blame it on bush..although the problems we are having never go back to clinton..

Should we be surprised? Most probably don’t even know what’s going on in or outside or country. I think the media today is just another form of entertainment and you see the stories or extreme opinions that will garner the most attention (sensationalism). Even after one finds out the facts, it usually doesn’t change their opinions or pre-existing views (Interesting article on the impact of political misinformation: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/14/AR2008091402375.html )

One question, in what context are you using the word tyranny? The uniformed bring tyranny upon us in general? Or, the uniformed have elected a tyrant?

Tyranny in the more general sense (although, it remains to be seen if Obama will run the country as a pseudo-tyrant). Democracy/federalism does NOT work when the people are uninformed/misinformed. A strong federal government requires decisions be based on truth and solid information, and that is not happening anymore.

I agree with Nate...
even the weather is dramatized on the news!

C'mon! It's been forever since you posted! You have to be dying about the new healthcare plan!

All I have to say is, "Head for the hills. We're all in trouble!"
