Dream Job

I am curious. What is your dream job? It can be anything other than what you are now doing, including you stay-at-home moms.

Tell us in the comments section!

I'm not sure. The gig I've got right now(SAHM) is pretty dreamy!

I love being at SAHM, but if I were to pick something else, it would probably be a zookeeper, zoologist (like Steve Erwin or Jeff Corwin).

Katie, I did not know that about you! I would have thought a coach or something like that.

My dream job would be to have no job; just inherit millions. But if I had to work, I would be a professional golfer, or a jigalow; I can't decide.

I have a lot of dream jobs in my mind.. One of them is to be an interior decorator. I have so much fun planning a room and seeing it transform. I'm not saying I'm that great at it, but it's so fun. Also, it's a lot easier for me to make decisions on other people's homes than my own, and of course spend their money!

My dream job would definetly be involved with something creative. Growing up I fantasized about livinging in NYC as a fashion designer. It's funny b/c now that seems very lonely and not fun at all. Now, I would love to make millions :) doing something I can do from home where my kids could be involved and I wouldn't have to sacrifice too much time away from them.

My dream job would be to work for Bernard Hodes. "Money for nothin' and your chicks for free" Oh yeah, that's the way you do it...

my dream job would be Oprah's job. She sits on a stage with whoever she wants, says what she wants and makes gobs of moola (; That sounds like a good time!!

I also love being a stay at home mom! But if I had the time, I would LOVE to be a photographer. I'm not very good at it but I would love to learn about it and become better!!!

i think part of my problem is there are lots of things i want to do: 1. go back to hair school (mom told me i had to get a 4 yr degree first..which i agree with) 2. personal organizer (steve's idea for me..i love organizing homes) 3. personal shopper (spend others money and help them with their style). none of which are remotely related to my current field of accounting and taxes. i do like numbers though still so maybe i would miss my "type A's" in all of these creative type jobs.

When Heidi & I were little we thought for sure we were going to be professional roller skaters! We had season passes to the roller rink every summer.

I would be a Catholic Priest working at a home for foster children...

I once asked this very question to Colette, and I smile every time I think of her answer. She told me that her dream job was to be a school bus driver. The best part is the reason why. She wanted to be able to greet the children each morning with a smile and start their day off right. Very noble and cute! Love it! (oh by the way her kids told her no way was she going to be their bus driver) ha ha ha!!

Can a fifth grader imagine anything worse than starting the day off by hopping in a bus with his mom as the driver and picking up all your friends every morning? That sure wouldn't have started my day off right. J/K mom. You can be a bus driver if you want, now that I will no longer be a passenger.

Steve, If I had been your bus driver we could have avoided that embarassing incident when you were banned from the bus (temporarily, of course) by that mean old bus driver that just didn't understand you. (Reminder, Lake Moneysmith in Washington). Do you remember that or has it been suppressed in your memory?

I want to hear that story!

I definitely don't remember that blemish on my life's perfect record...haha. I do want to know the details though.

Interesting concept Steve. Just totally block out all the bad decisions and happenings in our lives and we will have PERFECT lives. Of course, now that I think of it, the only hitch in that giddy-up is FAMILY. We all know that family will never let you forget about your dumb decisions. To some extent, your parents will always think of you as a dumb kid! Case in point with mom's comment.

Since I am in the early stages of dementia I don't remember much about the "Showdown at MoneySmith". It seems like Steve (Yes, our perfect little Steve) mouthed off to the driver, (I am sure he was only defending some other weak little fellow student, probably being picked on by Miss Hannigan (The driver). I did have a talk with the Driver. Caved, (begged) her to let Steve back on the bus and the whole incident was forgotten about until now. Now, shall we go on to the time Ben was kicked out of class,,,etc.etc.etc.

See what I am talking about - Mom will never let you forget your mistakes. By the way, I swear I wasn't standing on my desk while the lights were on - only when the lights were off.

I think you're confusing me with Matt, Kenzie, or Ben. That doesn't sound like anything a perfect person would have done.

That was actually me that had problems with the bus driver...

I knew it couldn't have been me.

Well colette looks like that dementia is setting in a little faster than you thought...
